It is wonderful to find a book that has a CD rom and no copyright protection. I create cards, etc and can feel free to use this product.The only real drawback is that downloading these graphics to my browser program is not permitted (at least not on my iMac) - the graphics downloaded, but that is all they did. You cannot see them. I have to use the graphics directly from the CD-rom. I have to use the book to select the graphic I want and then go to the CD to choose the corresponding graphic.Permitting browser download would be so helpful.
Never disappointed in these types of books with cd's
The quality of the graphics on the CD-ROM are poor at best, For line art I want to use I scan from the book and tossed the CD in the trash.
I enjoyed the item and hope other persons may be my be inten to buy this item also, it is helpful for art I think.
I needed simple - easy to work with designs for wood and this book was exactly that. Simple, easy to copy and intermix, and easy to enlarge or decrease the sizes.
I really like this book. It has so many pictures in it . I haven't used any yet, but I will. love this book. Thank you.
The quality of the art in this collection is great, however the majority of the items are animal based. There are few plain geometric patterns and nothing usable as borders, etc. There is another Dover collection that specifically includes Celtic borders. Most of Dover's collections give you a fairly wide selection, but this one is stuck on a theme and is also a bit thin. Only 96 designs! If you are looking for animal motifs in your Celtic clipart, this is the collection for you! If you are looking for anything else, look elsewhere.
I looked through this simply to stimulate my imagination. Celtic design is too sinuous and sinister-looking for my taste. It was fun trying to copy the intricate knots though. Each design is printed in three different sizes. Library copy didnt have a CD so no comment on that.
