I gave 5 stars considering the fact that I am usually a book reader unless I am interested in the readings. Being able to read is also easier on the electronic tablet since I do not have some bulky object to hold and flip through. I am wanting to learn more than I know so I can see that my seizures are not giving me less memory. Sometimes, it feels like I am becoming less intelligent, but that could also be the fact of a lot I learned in this book and the lack of reading educational texts, etc. Thank you for the excellent information Franz.
This book has very sound advice however I feel this is geared towards people who know absolutely nothing about how to handle their finances, self reliance or willpower/limiting oneself. I'm glad it was free when I purchased it, because unless you're completely clueless, this book won't be of very much help.
This has many great ideas and how to implement them. I am wanting to go back to basic principles and this book gave me wonderful insight on how I can begin and continue to do that. Probably not much information for someone who has been "homesteading" for awhile already.
Life today can be complicated, sophisticated and largely technology based, so much so that we often get swept along in a fast flowing stream that can be hard to escape. "Back to Basics" brings us back to a down-to-earth reality that many of us miss - I certainly do. The language is easy to understand and basic principles and ideas are set out in a common sense way that makes us feel that life can be enjoyed in simple ways within our income and with peace of mind. It would be a great asset to every household.
Good book, there were one or two things that I wouldn't do (like add food coloring to soap)but a lot of chapters were on debt and debt management and that was GREAT!!! The best thing that anybody in this world can do is to get out of debt and stay out of debt.It's a beginner type book, as it says it is "Back to Basics" and we all (no matter how long we've been at it) need a refresher now and then.
This book is filled with excellent money saving tips.In today's economy,we need all the help we can get.It helps to learn the return policies of your favorite stores. An impulse purchase can almost always be returned.
I have really enjoyed this book! It has great information! I would definitely recommend this book to others.Great job!
